Gorakhgad Night Out Trek

Hi Freaktrekkers,

This is Rohit your 1 and only freak friend. Freaktrekkers members note this as we have already trekked gorakhgad last year. Trekkers who have not trekked here and members who have pack your bags, as we are planning again in January 2011.
Planned for now is we will stay (cave) for 1 day that will be 22 and be back by 23 afternoon or evening. Trekkers the things you have to bring is :

1) Water.
2) Food.
3) Medicine if any.
4) Cloths (as it will be chilling out there,so required).
5) Camera if any.
6) Option booze for chilling climate.
7) Torch with extra batteries.
8) Candle if any.

If any other will be updated soon, so no worries and trekkers please let us know your confirmation whether your coming or not,as we don't want last moment change. Let us know prior 2 days before trek. Hope iam clear here trekkers.Take care and God bless

Prabalgad Experience

Hello Freak Trekkers,

First of all I would like to thank all the members who showed up for the trek. The members who missed the trek don't worry pic will be uploaded. Our next trek details will be soon updated for more details check the blog.

Rate Prabalgad Trek and also the experience.

Ill rate prabalgad 5/10 and my experience though i enjoyed my trek. Im not sure if ill trek this place again, as there are not much to explore in this trek. Only water tank, Dense forest and Rocky climb. We had fun climbing the small pinnacle, took some pictures etc. Waiting for your guys experience.

Trek to Prabalgad is on 26th S. Members till now who are sure about it are Harshal Desai, Anchit Rao, Anuj Rao, Greg Pereira, Anup Kalgalkar, Percy Colabawalla, Yafeth Talker, Gaurav Phadtare, Farhad Colabawalla and Ashish Bindur. Other memebers please confirm yourself so that we can plan according to the day.

___ABOUT PRABALGAD___

Height: 2300 ft
Grade: Prabalgad Easy ... Kalwantin Medium
Time: ~ 3 hrs from Thakurwadi, Base Village
Location: Prabalgad is a fort located near Panvel..

Fort Prabalgad is situated on northeast side of Panvel, on Mumbai-Pune road. Can see it from express highway a V-Shaped one. The Left one is Kalwantin Durg & right side is Prabalgad. But there is a dense forest on the way till the the top of fort Prabal. Historical references indicate that Freedom fighter Umaji Naik made a stay here in 1826.

Harischandragad Trek

Hello freak trekkers,

We are planning to trek Harischandragad in September. Members interested will contact their friends by the mid of August so that the plan is done correctly.
